Theo Paphitis selection
On Monday the 24th October 2016, LEDience was hand picked by Theo Paphitis himself to join his Small Business Sunday (SBS) community. This was after our entry for the first time on the day before, Sunday the 23rd October.
Small Business Sunday, shortened to the hashtag #SBS on Twitter, was created by Theo Paphitis in October 2010. Theo is best known for appearing on Dragons Den on BBC Two. He is Chairman of Ryman Stationery plus Boux Avenue lingerie, Robert Dyas and latest acquisition London Graphic Centre, as well as joint owner of Red Letter Days.
Each week, Theo rewards six small businesses that tweet him @TheoPaphitis and describe their businesses in one tweet including the all-important hashtag #SBS. Only tweets made in the time slot between 5.00 PM and 7.30 PM each Sunday count.
Every Monday night at 8pm, Theo reviews and chooses his favourite lucky six who are then re-tweeted. As he has over 500,000 followers, this provides a massive boost to the chosen lucky businesses.
Being selected by Theo has seen LEDience’s social media exposure soar. Our twitter and Facebook following increased sizeably due to the win and exposure caused by it. Being accepted into the winners only Facebook group has proven invaluable being able to discuss matters and assist other companies with their questions and problems. We can safely say that the other SBS winners have proven to be both helpful and inspirational to us here at LEDience.
